What is Net Zero?

Net zero refers to balancing the amount of greenhouse gases produced by human activities with the amount being actively removed from the atmosphere.

In essence, this means that we need to stop increasing the total concentration of these gases in the atmosphere in order to limit climate change.

Greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane, are rapidly increasing in the atmosphere due to human activities. These activities include burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and agricultural practices.

To effectively reduce these emissions, we need to shift away from reliance on coal, oil, and gas, and instead adopt cleaner energy sources like wind and solar power.

How is Hope 4U helping?

By working closely with installers to implement free energy efficient measures for homes, Hope 4U are contributing to the reduction of emissions by assessing current household situations, asking the relevant questions to be able to potentially get Homes energy efficient upgrades.

This government funded scheme aims to enhance the energy efficiency of homes, assisting eligible residents in staying warmer and reducing their energy bills. In most cases, the measures included in this scheme will be fully funded by the Government's Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Scheme.
